Cool site! Thanks for sharing.
Your website will be very useful.
Nicole, your story is very touching. I know someone who has similar problems with her knees. It seems that only an MRI can help with the diagnosis. I will suggest it to my friend. Thanks.
thanks for sharing your life story and gathering information about OCD. I too am a recovered patient of this condition. Fortunately I was lucky that it was diagnosed when I was 15 and still growing. It looks like the younger you are the better prognosis for recovery. I am fine now but also fear that some arthritic condition can bother me at the later stage of my life as a result of OCD. They say it is probable.Hopefully the medicine will be better equipped to deal with it by the time it happens. I don’t think that you should blame yourself for being active and playing sports. You don’t know what’s wrong unless you know it and you cannot do nothing because of what it might have been. You cannot put your life on hold. I hope that your recovery goes well and soon you will be able to return to a more active lifestyle. Stay well and once again thanks for this website!
Thank you for sharing Mario!
I am from UK and discovered my dissecans when 38y.o. Until then I was healthy and active. Since I am heavy it is a big problem in my life; several surgeries and bloody discomfort. I was touched by your story. Thanks for sharing
Osteochondritis Of Both Knees At Birth I have struggled with this my whole life. I have always run funny even as a child. I have been to a bunch of doctors, and had anthroscopic surgery. I want to become a police officer. Running has held me back. I have always been an active person, however if it rains my knees are stiff and I can barely walk let alone run. Has anyone else had the same problem? If so what did you do to be able to run. I am starting physical therapy again this week. THis time i want to focus on the proper technique of running. Everytime i try my back and hips hurt. My chiropractor has told me I am tilted to the left. I am a 24 year old female. I do not want this to hold me back from my dream career.
Just been diagnosed with OCD in my left knee. Probably have it in the right as well, but not that bad.
Still trying to find out more info regarding this as the hospital I was mentioned there is nothing they can do for me.
They mentioned I have grade 1 on my lateral and grade 4 on my medial.
Activity very limited at the moment. 🙁
